House IJburg is a monolith taken over by nature
House IJBurg is built for life: with the flexibility to accommodate the changing demands of family life, and with the permanence to last a lifetime. We placed the garden on the rooftop to maximise the compact plot, and extended the greenery onto the crafted brickwork facade, which doubles as a trellis, to create a living curtain. The multipurpose corridor and open living area host changing activities seamlessly. The result is a beautiful home that is sturdy, comfortable and sustainable.
