Soft opening + Visit Dutch minister of housing

We recently had a soft opening for Poppies with the residents. We kicked things off with drinks and a group pilates session. A great way to warm up the space together! After the opening events, we were visited by the Minister.
During a working visit at the invitation of the Royal Institute of Dutch Architects (BNA), Minister Mona Keijzer (Housing and Spatial Planning) saw firsthand how architects are helping to accelerate housing development without compromising on quality or sustainability
As part of her visit, Minister Keijzer toured three locations in Amsterdam-Noord, including Poppies, an award-winning timber construction project by Marc Koehler Architects.
According to the BNA, both projects clearly demonstrate that industrialization, collaboration, and forward-thinking design can go hand in hand—and even drive acceleration in the housing sector. Poppies in particular proves that timber construction is not only sustainable, but also affordable and adaptable.
